A man and a devil will battle it out at James A. Little Theater at the New Mexico School for the Deaf, as professional New York actor Glen Williamson performs Beat the Devil! Faust, the Whole Story. The Sangre de Cristo Anthroposophy Group presents the Anthropos production of this one-man play about love, sex, murder, myth, magic, war, and a devil out of his depths.

Through drama and masterful storytelling, Williamson transforms Goethe’s theatrical masterpiece into a 90-minute sometimes humorous and always exhilarating battle for the soul of a man searching for truth, satisfaction . . . and a Goddess.

Astonishingly pertinent to our time and our struggles to be truly human. A man who has studied everything, feels he knows nothing and takes up magic to find something to satisfy his craving for beauty, knowledge and meaning. But his bargain with the devil has surprising twists.

Based on Goethe’s play (Parts I and II)
(Ninety minutes including an intermission. Yes, the whole story!)

Beat the Devil! Faust, the Whole Story won the award for Best Adaptation at the United Solo Theatre Festival off Broadway in NYC in 2011!

A short preview of this production (also known as The Tragedy of Mephistopheles) can be seen on YouTube.

What is Money and its Effect in the Human Soul?

You are warmly invited to join us for an evening presentation by Eduardo Yi on Wednesday, February 7th, 7:00 pm at the Santa Fe Waldorf School, 8th Grade classroom – 26 Puesta Del Sol Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508.

We will be working with the following questions:

● Does money have a value in and of itself?
● Can I come to a new perspective of money?

We can begin to question our mental pictures around money and its effect in our soul, which can lead to a more healthy and whole imagination of our relationship to the value of money.

We hope you can join us for this discussion.
