Christian Community Talks and Services – Sept. 2017

Dear friends and members of the Christian Community,

This is a letter from our local core group, putting forth suggestions for future worship and celebrations together.

Rev. Jim Hindes, our regional priest from Denver, joined with us for a Whitsun festival in early June. At that time, he proposed a more active relationship with our New Mexico congregation. Jim suggested coming down for a long weekend, around every three months. His offerings would include giving talks, celebrating the Act of Consecration of Man, the Sunday Service for Children, lessons for the children, and sacramental consultations.

The next opportunity for a New Mexico Christian Community gathering will be the weekend of September 8,9 &10, 2017. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS and invite friends.

Topic of Rev. Hindes’ evening talks will be:

Who is Michael, the Archangel? – (an answer is found in the King and the Corpse, an ancient Hindu legend that reveals the essence of Christianity.)

Rev. Hindes will give an evening talk.

How do we welcome and provide for this generous offering? One of the needs is to cover expenses. It may show a clear intention on our part if we can cover these with foresight rather than scrambling at the last minute. Therefore, we ask that donations be made in whatever way your heart leads. There are many ways to be a part of this gift for our community and we welcome your ideas and enthusiasm. We are a small group at present but, as we move forward, our Christian Community will be a creation of this whole community in Christ.
